Class of 2023 goes to camp

Prior to courses beginning in August, the incoming Class of 2023 gathered together in Glen Rose, Texas for PRE+OP, a week-long student orientation created to lay a foundation for developing a student community environment that enhances learning and social interaction. “My father was fully dedicated to his patients. He believed it was his duty to always be present in order to serve them at a moment’s notice,” noted Linda Cappel. “Because of his attentiveness, the community loved and respected him.”

Dr. Lawrence’s road to becoming a physician was paved with detours. As a young man in the midst of World War II, he was able to defer the draft by pursuing a medical degree and serving in the U.S. Army Reserves.
