Spring commencement 2026 celebrated the achievements and dreams of graduating students at the Peter O’Donnell Jr. School of Public Health, UT Southwestern Medical School, and UT Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Throughout their training, students made a meaningful impact by strengthening communities, improving patients’ lives, and driving positive social change. Lalan Wilfong, M.D. (Medicine ’97), was appointed as Chief Medical Officer of Navista, Cardinal Health’s oncology practice alliance.

Helen H. Hobbs, M.D. (Resident ’83, Fellow ’87), received the 2026 Distinguished Alumni Award in Internal Medicine and gave the Daniel W. Foster, M.D. Lecture during Internal Medicine Grand Rounds.

Arthur Westover, M.D. (Resident ’06), has been named Medical Director of the UTSW Multispecialty Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic.
