UT Southwestern Medical Center was a proud supporter of FIFA World Cup 2026 and enjoyed meeting the fans from around the world at the UTSW activation at the Dallas Fan Fest.

The 12 sculptures that now welcome visitors to Donald W. Seldin Plaza on South Campus began as an idea from Joseph L. Goldstein, M.D. (Medicine ’66), Chair of Molecular Genetics. The Nobel Laureate and art lover, whose office window overlooks a statue of Dr. Seldin, the longtime Chair of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern, wanted to bring the creativity and imagination of fine art to the academic medical center to inspire all who walked across the Plaza.
