The Department of Radiation Oncology at UT Southwestern combines translational research with personalized patient care, delivering state-of-the-art treatment to patients with all types of cancer. Part of the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in North Texas and one of only 56 in the nation, we are recognized for excellence in clinical care, scientific research, and educational programs.
From clinical trials to basic science and translational research, our researchers are constantly looking for evidence-based methods to improve the safety and efficacy of radiation treatment, better the outcomes for our patients, and, ultimately, find a cure for cancer.
AI research plays an increasingly crucial role in cancer care. In the Department of Radiation Oncology, the Medical Artificial Intelligence and Automation (MAIA) Lab is at the forefront of integrating that research into care for our patients. This innovative lab focuses on developing AI technologies to enhance the expertise of clinicians, ensuring every patient receives the best possible care.
When you give to the Department of Radiation Oncology or MAIA Lab, you have the opportunity to directly impact cancer research and patient care. With your support, we are able to advance research in the field of radiation oncology and help our patients and their families.
