Funds raised will support The Cary Council's Early Stage Research Grants, which are awarded annually to UT Southwestern investigators working on promising research.

  Christina Herrera, M.D.

  Assistant Professor, Obstetrics and Gynecology

  Using genetic testing and body imaging, Dr. Herrera is shaping our understanding of the structure of the placenta and how it works over time. She is a 2023 recipient of The Cary Council's Early Stage Research Grants.

  Margaret Hoge, M.D.

  Assistant Professor, Pediatrics

  Specializing in the health of newborns and pregnant mothers, Dr. Hoge studies how to improve outcomes in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). She is a 2023 recipient of The Cary Council's Early Stage Research Grants.

  Avanthi Shah, M.D.

  Assistant Professor, Pediatrics

  A leading researcher using genetics discoveries to improve patient care, Dr. Shah works to improve outcomes for children with cancer. She is a 2023 recipient of The Cary Council's Early Stage Research Grants.
