Celebrating the past.
Creating the future.

Since its beginning, UT Southwestern's pursuit of excellence has been made possible by philanthropy. Founders Day continues that tradition with a day of giving to invest in the future of this institution.

Inspired by tradition

Founders Day is a chance to commemorate our success as one of the nation's top academic institutions and create an even brighter future. Drawing from our history of achievement, we're celebrating on May 5 – the anniversary of our founding.

World-changing ideas have humble origins

Every remarkable story has a beginning. Ours started in 1943 when Dr. Edward H. Cary's vision for a world-class medical school and Karl Hoblitzelle's philanthropic investment began a story of excellence our students and faculty continue today.

Impact measured
in lives changed

Across this institution, students and faculty experience innovative education, pursue groundbreaking research, and deliver exemplary patient care that changes lives.

Every gift makes a difference

On May 5, our alumni and friends are uniting to make a difference for UT Southwestern. You can, too. Every gift counts, and each gift creates opportunities for tomorrow's leaders.
