Carolyn Bradley-Guidry, Dr.PH., M.P.A.S. (Health Professions ’98)
Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Engagement for the School of Health Professions and a Professor of Physician Assistant Studies at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, received an Outstanding Educator Award from the UT Southwestern Academy of Teachers.

Kala Bailey, M.D. (Medicine ’10, Intern ’11)
an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern in Dallas, was named an advisory member of the Healthcare Workforce Task Force by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

Kristen Bishop, M.D. (Medicine ’04, Resident ’09, Fellow ’10)
an Associate Professor of Radiology and Director of Clinical Radiology Medical Student Education at UT Southwestern in Dallas, was named a member of the UT Southwestern Academy of Teachers and received the organization’s Outstanding Educator Award.

Charles L. Branch Jr., M.D. (Medicine ’81)
a retired Professor and former Chair of Neurosurgery at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, was awarded the Distinguished Faculty Award by the institution.

James Cutrell, M.D. (Medicine ’07, Resident ’10, Fellow ’13)
an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Director of the Adult Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program at UT Southwestern in Dallas, received an Outstanding Educator Award from the UT Southwestern Academy of Teachers.

Kevin Klein, M.D. (Medicine ’81, Intern ’82, Resident ’84, ’86)
a Professor of Anesthesiology & Pain Management and Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at UT Southwestern in Dallas, received an Outstanding Educator Award from the UT Southwestern Academy of Teachers.

Katharine Knobil, M.D. (Medicine ’90)
a pharmaceutical executive in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, was appointed an Advisor to the Board of Directors of Infinant Health.

Steve Lieberman, M.D. (Medicine ’85)
a Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona in Phoenix, Arizona, received the Edithe J. Levit Distinguished Service Award from the National Board of Medical Examiners.

Christiana Sahl Renner, M.D., M.S. (Medicine ’08, Resident ’11)
an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern in Dallas, was named a member of the UT Southwestern Academy of Teachers.

William Reed, M.D. (Medicine ’77, Intern ’78, Resident ’80)
a Professor of Internal Medicine and Associate Dean of Quality, Safety, and Outcomes Education at UT Southwestern in Dallas, received an Outstanding Educator Award from the UT Southwestern Academy of Teachers.

Jeanette Ruiz, M.D. (Medicine ’13)
Director of Surgical Pathology for Clinical Pathology Laboratories in Austin, Texas, was appointed to the state of Texas’ Radiation Advisory Board by Gov. Greg Abbott.

E. Sherwood Brown, M.D., Ph.D., M.B.A. (Intern ’94, ’97, Fellow ’98)
a Professor of Psychiatry, the Department’s Vice Chair for Clinical Research, and Director of the Psychoneuroendocrine Research Program at UT Southwestern in Dallas, was named a member of the UT Southwestern Academy of Teachers.

Adriane dela Cruz, M.D., Ph.D. (Resident ’15, Fellow ’16)
an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern in Dallas, received an Outstanding Educator Award from the UT Southwestern Academy of Teachers.

Ryan Dumas, M.D. (Resident ’16)
an Associate Professor of Surgery at UT Southwestern in Dallas, received a fellowship from the UT Southwestern Academy of Teachers and the institution’s Office of Medical Education.
