North Texas Giving Day rallies regional generosity to support health

Demonstrating the region’s generosity, Dallas-Fort Worth area residents celebrated North Texas Giving Day, the annual 18-hour online giving event supporting local causes. The 2023 event, held Sept. 21, marked the 15th anniversary of the day of giving, which has grown to become the largest communitywide giving event in the nation.

Donors supported UT Southwestern Medical Center with gifts to the institution’s Moncrief Cancer Institute to support cancer education, screening, and prevention programs for underserved communities. Southwestern Medical Foundation also raised funds to support research and clinical programs at the Medical Center.

The event's success underscores philanthropy's impact across the region.
