William Z. Morris, M.D. (Medicine ’12)
was promoted to Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UT Southwestern.

Ashoke Sathy, M.D. (Medicine ’03)
was recently promoted to Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UT Southwestern.

Michael Van Hal, M.D. (Medicine ’10)
was recently promoted to Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UT Southwestern.

Timothy Wolff, M.D. (Medicine ’83)
a professor of psychiatry and an associate training director for the general adult psychiatry program at UT Southwestern, received the Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians Distinguished Service Award.

Trainees

E. Sherwood Brown, M.D., Ph.D., M.B.A. (Intern ’94, ’97, Fellow ’98)
a Professor of Psychiatry, the Department’s Vice Chair for Clinical Research, and Director of the Psychoneuroendocrine Research Program at UT Southwestern in Dallas, presented the poster Disconnect Between Child Perception of Asthma and Objective Lung Function with Ryana Velani, a participant in the 2024 UTSW STARS Summer Science Camp.

Molly Camp, M.D. (Fellow ’12, Resident ’11)
an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern, was accepted into the Southwestern Academy of Teachers (SWAT), which encompasses a group of elite UTSW educators who strive to foster excellence in teaching at all levels.

John Sadler, M.D. (Resident ’84, Intern ’81)
the Director of the Program in Ethics in Science & Medicine and Chief of the Division of Ethics in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern, released Vice and Psychiatric Diagnosis, a book about the relationships between wrongful/criminal conduct and mental disorders from clinical, philosophical, and public policy perspectives.

Laura Stone, M.D. (Fellow ’14)
a Associate Professor of Psychiatry, completed her tenure as president of the Texas Society of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Sidarth Wakhlu, M.D. (Fellow ’03)
a Professor of Psychiatry, received the AAAP Award for Medical Student Educator by the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry.
