M2G Ventures, a Fort Worth-based real estate firm, has deepened its commitment to mental health through an inspiring partnership with UT Southwestern’s Center for Depression Research and Clinical Care (CDRC).
Following the loss of a loved one to bipolar disorder in 2017, co-founders Jessica Miller Essl and Susan Miller launched the M2G Mental Health Initiative (MHI) in 2019, earning 501(c)(3) status in 2022. The Initiative’s mission is to transform the way the world treats mental illness.

Through this partnership, M2G Ventures has provided significant support over the last five years to advance CDRC’s research, studies, and services for children and young adults in Tarrant County and beyond. Its efforts include integrating fine art into development projects, commissioning works from renowned artists that reflect the mental health journey, and hosting fundraisers such as a recent one featuring Grammy Award winner Lee Ann Womack and live visual artist Chris Coleman. These creative endeavors amplify M2G’s vision to elevate mental health awareness while advancing youth resilience and research initiatives, such as the Texas Resilience Against Depression (T-RAD) study.
