School of Health Professions Marks Achievement of Students in Multiple Allied Health Fields

In December, UT Southwestern’s School of Health Professions celebrated 135 graduates embarking on careers in compassionate, innovative patient care. Degrees awarded included Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Clinical Research, Doctor of Physical Therapy, as well as master’s degrees in Clinical Science, Health Informatics, Clinical Nutrition, Physician Assistant Studies, and Prosthetics-Orthotics.

Dean Jon Williamson, Ph.D., praised the graduates’ perseverance. “Our challenging environment provides a foundation for growth. We are proud of our graduates and wish them success,” he said.

Keynote speaker Sherry C. Huang, M.D., Vice Provost and Senior Associate Dean for Education, emphasized their readiness for future challenges. “I hope graduates follow their passions and use science as a catalyst for change,” she said.

Associate Dean Carolyn Bradley-Guidry, Dr.PH., M.P.A.S., PA-C, highlighted the graduates’ dedication to advancing health equity. “Their resilience brought them here. They are ready to excel and deliver culturally responsive care,” she said.

Founded in 1969, the school has trained thousands of health care leaders, ensuring excellence in patient care, education, and research.
