Tea-rific Thanks: UTSW Nurses Get the Cool Treatment
Texas summers are brutal. Walk outside in August in particular, and you will know what it might feel like to exist in an oven. Yet the hardworking UT Southwestern nurses – better known as “heroes” – not only show up regardless of the weather, but they also do their jobs with a smile. This begs the question, “How do heroes keep cool and stay hydrated?”
Heroes staying hydrated during Nurses Week
One answer is HTeaO, the nation’s leading iced tea franchise. Though summer wasn’t in full swing on May 9, things were already heating up, and HTeaO was on-site at UTSW to celebrate Nurses Week and thank hospital staff by passing out free tea samples, mini gallons, and lots of nurse-themed free swag.
Heath Nielsen, President of HTeaO, explained the company’s reason for giving back to the community: “We believe in showing up for those who care for others. Partnering with UTSW for Nurses Week is one more way we can say thank you to an incredible group of people.”
It seems the nurses at UT Southwestern know the best treatment for handling hot temperatures in Texas: iced tea, gratitude, and a giving partner who shows up with both.
