In memory of Dr. Donald W. Seldin
Considered the “intellectual father” of UT Southwestern, Dr. Donald W. Seldin is among the most distinguished medical educators in the history of academic medicine.
During his 67 years at UT Southwestern, he inspired and educated generations of top medical professionals and helped transform the burgeoning Medical School into one of the nation’s premier academic medical centers.
From 1952 until 1988, Dr. Seldin served as Chair of Internal Medicine. More recently, Dr. Seldin served as UT Southwestern Professor and Chairman Emeritus of Internal Medicine and UT System Professor in Internal Medicine. He also held the William Buchanan Chair in Internal Medicine.
The indelible mark Dr. Seldin's leadership, mentorship, and friendship made on the lives of so many will endure for years to come.
